Protecting Client Interests For Over 40 Years

Has Another’s Negligence Left You Unable To Live the Life You Love?

Western Washington is one of the best places to live in America. We have waterfronts, picturesque views, nearby mountains and hiking and biking trails. This is a great place to live if you enjoy an active lifestyle or beautiful scenery. Someone else’s negligence could affect your lifestyle.

If you were in an accident, you might be left with chronic pain that never stops and that might be keeping you from enjoying your life. If someone’s negligence injured you, changed your life or led to the death of a loved one, Doug Cloud Law is here to help you. I am an attorney with over 40 years of legal experience, nearly all of which have been in the Tacoma area. I also have a strong track record of achieving positive results in serious and catastrophic personal injury cases.

A History Of Client Advocacy

My firm has helped thousands of personal injury victims in the Tacoma area and throughout Western Washington. I have assisted people who want to be included in mass tort (civil injury) cases against large companies that have injured people in environmental and mass disasters and defective products. I have helped people who have been seriously injured in accidents or product liability cases.

Representative clients include:

  • People who were hurt or the families of people who died in a car accident caused by someone else’s inattentiveness, recklessness, intoxication or impairment.
  • People who were injured or died on dangerous roads or due to unsafe vehicles.
  • Catastrophic injury survivors include people who are living with paralysis, severe burns or disfigurement, a brain injury, loss of vision or hearing and amputations.
  • Patients suffering because of defective medical devices or physician errors.
  • Relatives of elderly people who died due to negligence at a nursing home.

Even if your injury scenario isn’t listed above, chances are good that I can help you. Please don’t decide you are out of options before speaking to an attorney.

Answers To Common Questions About Personal Injury Litigation

Below, I’ve provided answers to questions I often hear from prospective clients.

I’ve been injured. Do I have a case?

If your injuries were caused by the negligence or wrongful actions of another person, business or organization, you owe it to yourself to consult a legal professional. I won’t be able to tell you if you have a case until I hear the details of your story. But thankfully, I make it easy to explore your legal options by offering free initial consultations.

Can I sue a product manufacturer for injuries I’ve sustained due to a faulty product? Can I sue the product seller?

If you were injured because of a product’s dangerous defect in design, manufacturing or marketing and safety warnings, you can typically bring a product liability claim against the manufacturer of the product. Depending on the circumstances, you may also be able to include the retailer (where you purchased the product) as a defendant as well. Stores are responsible for ensuring that the products they sell are reasonably safe, as are others in the supply chain. You can learn more by visiting my product liability page.

Do I have a claim for brain injuries sustained while playing high school or college football?

You might. While players and their families agree to some risk when students participate in contact sports like football, coaches and schools have a duty to carefully monitor players and keep them from returning to play immediately following a known or suspected brain injury. Washington state has been a national leader in implementing laws to protect young players.

I will need to carefully investigate the details of your case. Suffice it to say, if those overseeing a football program acted negligently or with disregard for your safety, you may be able to bring a claim.
